CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic is a first-contact health profession that is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical alterations of the spine in particular and of the neuro-musculoskeletal system in general.
The chiropractor diagnoses and corrects possible joint dysfunctions in THE SPINE , referring to these as vertebral subluxations, fixations or joint restrictions with possible neurological impact, as demonstrated by joint neurophysiology studies, and consequently possible alterations in the balance or homeostasis capacity of the body . By correcting them, the goal would be to stimulate the body's physiological capacity .
All this focuses on the close relationship between THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, SPINE, and HEALTH , the latter being understood as a state of bio-psycho-social well-being according to the WHO .
Vertebral subluxation is covered by the WHO and typified in its International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) with the code M 99.1 "complex vertebral subluxation".

Chiropractic is a health profession in the US , Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Costa Rica, the United Kingdom, Switzerland , Sweden, Norway , Denmark, Belgium, France , Portugal, Italy, Cyprus, Leichtenstein, Malta, or Andorra to name only Some examples.
In these states, the chiropractor works independently, integrated into the health system at the level of a doctor or a dentist and his services are totally or partially covered by social security or private insurance .
SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE
The Spanish Chiropractic Association currently has a Scientific Committee in charge of collecting and updating the best scientific evidence on chiropractic that is appearing in accredited and specialized top-level journals.
As a result of this work, in June 2018 the first Dossier of Scientific Evidence on Chiropractic was presented, a dossier that the AEQ Scientific Committee keeps updated.
Likewise, the Chiropractic Research Network (RIQ) has been founded in collaboration with the Jiménez Díaz Foundation and the Alcalá de Henares University to generate chiropractic scientific research of excellence in Spain.
